Sheet and Plate Bending

We have the ability to offer in house bending from 30ga material up to 3/4″ thick steel to compliment our CNC cutting.  Two different brakes help achieve this goal.  One is a box and pan brake and the other is a hydraulic press brake with removable upper dies.

For parts cut on the CNC table, before they are cut the K-factor and bend radius can be calculated prior to it being cut.  This allows the CAD software to know the neutral line of the material after bending which accounts for the stretching and shrinking of the material.  This stretching and shrinking ultimately affects the flat pattern, so this is taken into account so after forming it will measure up to print.  We can also do strictly bending for parts that are brought in and require it.

40in length:

≤ 12ga (0.104″) steel

19in length:

≤ 1/2″ (0.500″) aluminum

≤ 3/8″ (0.375″) steel

DIY Press Brake

Both brakes have the ability to have the upper dies removed in segments to allow for 2.5″ deep box on the 40″ box and pan brake as well as a 3″ deep box for the 19″ press brake.
